Crochet Chunky Rib Scarf WRITTEN PATTERN

USA STITCH TERMS

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn

For my scarf I used 2 x Lion Brand Mandala Gradient Cakes in the shade Yellow with a 5.5mm Hook.

My scarf measures approximately 179” / 225cm in length and 7.5” / 19cm in width

Abbreviations:

●       Ch = Chain

●       HDC = Half Double Crochet

●       BLO = Back Loop Only

●       St = Stitch

●       Rep = Repeat

Back Loop Only (BLO) Work your stitches into the back loop of the stitch only

Chain 301 OR chain until your have the desired LENGTH of your scarf.

Row 1: Working into the back bumps of the ch, HDC in the 2nd ch from your hook.

Work 1 HDC into each chain.

Row 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch) and TURN.

Work 1 HDC into the 1st st.

Rep * 1 HDC in the BLO * until you have one st remaining.

End with working 1 HDC into the last st under both loops.

Row 3 - 19 (or until you have the desired WIDTH of your scarf): Rep Row 2

Once your scarf is the width you want, Ch1 to fasten off, cut your yarn and weave in any ends.
