USA STITCH TERMS
Hook Size(s): according to your yarn
For my sample I used Scheepjes Chunky Monkey yarn with a 6mm Hook
Abbreviations:
โ Ch = Chain
โ HDC = Half Double Crochet
โ HDC SS = Half Double Crochet Slip Stitch
โ St = Stitch
โ Rep = Repeat
Half Double Crochet Slip Stitch (HDC SS) Yarn over, insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull back through (3 loops on your hook) Pull up your working loop slightly, pinch the bottom and pull the loop you just created through the 2 loops already on your hook.
Foundation Row: Ch as many as you want, according to the width of your project.
Row 1: Starting in the third ch from the hook, make 1 HDC in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a st) and turn.
Make 1 HDC SS in each st across.
Row 3: Ch 1 (does not count as a st) and turn.
Make 1 HDC in each st across.
Rep Rows 2 and 3 for as long as you want your project to be.
Fasten off and cut the yarn. Weave in the ends.
