Crochet Easy Stitch WRITTEN PATTERN
USA STITCH TERMS
Hook Size(s): according to your yarn
In my sample I used Lion Brand Landscapes in the shade Desert Spring with a 6mm Hook
Abbreviations:
โ Ch = Chain
โ Ch sp = Chain space
โ SC = Single crochet
โ DC2TOG = Double Crochet Two Together
โ FLO = Front Loop Only
โ St = Stitch
โ Rep = Repeat
Double Crochet 2 Together (DC2TOG): yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch [3 loops on your hook] yarn over and pull through 2 loops [2 loops left on your hook] yarn over, insert hook back into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch [4 loops on your hook] yarn over and pull through 2 loops [ 3 loops on your hook]. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.
Front Loop Only (FLO): work into the front loop only of the stitch
Crochet Easy Stitch
Foundation Row: Ch multiples of 2 until you reach the desired width of your project.
Row 1: Starting in the second ch from the hook, make 1 SC in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a st) and turn. Make 1 SC in the first st. Make 1 SC FLO in each st across except the last one. In the last st of the row, make 1 SC.
Row 3: Ch 1 (does not count as a st) and turn. Make 1 SC in the first st.
Rep *1 DC2tog in the unworked loop of row 1, 1 SC in the next st of row 2*.
In the last st of the row, make 1 SC.
Rows 4-onward: Rep rows 2 and 3.
For the odd rows, youโll make the DC2tog two rows below and the SC in the row below.
Fasten off and cut the yarn once your project has reached the desired length.
Weave in the ends.
