Crochet Iris Stitch [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]

Crochet Iris Stitch WRITTEN PATTERN

USA STITCH TERMS

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn

For my sample I used Ice Yarn Baby Anti Pilling in White with Sirdar Crofter in the shade “Bonnie” with a 4mm Hook

Abbreviations:

●       Ch = Chain

●       SC = Single Crochet

●       DC = Double Crochet

●       St = Stitch

●       Rep = Repeat

Row 1: LOOSELY Chain a multiple of 4 + 3

[2 DC, Ch1, 2 DC] into 5th Ch from hook

Rep * Skip 3 Chs, [2 DC, Ch1, 2 DC] in next * until 2 chains remain

End with skip 1, DC into last Ch.

Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as DC) and TURN

Rep *[2 DC, Ch1, 2 DC] into each Ch1 space across the row * until 3 stitches remain

End with skip 2, DC into the top of the turning chain.

Rows 3 onwards: Rep Row 2

OPTIONAL FINAL ROW: To straighten the top edge if desired

Ch 1 and TURN, SC into the same stitch

Rep * Ch 3, SC into next Ch1 space * until 3 stitches remain

End with Ch 1, SC into the top of the turning chain.

Ch 1 and fasten off.
