How to Crochet a Spiral 3D Flower WRITTEN PATTERN

USA STITCH TERMS

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn

Abbreviations:

โ€ข Ch = Chain

โ€ข SC = Single crochet

โ€ข DC = Double Crochet

โ€ข St = Stitch

โ€ข Sl St= Slip Stitch


SPECIAL STITCHES:

Extended Double Crochet- Yo insert hook into st, pull up a loop, YO pull through one loop, YO pull through 2 loops.

Chain 3 Picot: Ch 3, Sl St in front loop and front bar of the st you just made. (If that is too difficult, you can Ch 3 and Sl St into the first Ch.)


Foundation Ring: Ch 8, Sl St to beginning Ch to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as DC), work 23 DC into ring. Sl St to beginning Ch 3.

Change color here.

Round 2: Ch 1, SC into first st. Rep * Ch 6, sk 2 sts, SC in next. * around until last 2 sts.

Ch 3, work extended DC in beginning SC st.

Round 3: Ch 1, SC into Ch loop you just formed from the previous row. Repeat * Ch 6, SC into next Ch loop. * around.

Sl St to SC from beginning of round.

Round 4: Sl St into the Ch loop. Ch 3 (counts as a DC), work 4 DC into Ch loop sp. Chain 3 Picot. Work 5 DC into same Ch loop sp.

*Working around the left side of the Ch loop from Round 2, Place 8 DC. Rotate, going around the right side of the same Ch loop, Place 8 DC.

Now working around the Ch loop from Round 3, Place 5 DC, Chain 3 Picot, 5 DC into same Ch loop sp.*

Repeat the starred * instructions around.

Sl St at top of Ch 3 from the beginning of the round.

Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving long tail to weave in.
