Crochet Sweet Mint Scarf [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]

Crochet Sweet Mint Scarf WRITTEN PATTERN

USA STITCH TERMS

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn

For my personal scarf, I used 2 x Balls of Lion Brand Landscapes Renewed in the colour “Sweet Mint” with a 7mm Hook

Abbreviations:

·       Ch = Chain

·       Rep = Repeat

·       SC = Single Crochet

·       HDC = Half Double Crochet

·       DC = Double Crochet

 

Foundation Row: Ch 24 (or any multiple of 3 if you wish to alter the width of your scarf)

Row 1: Working into the back bumps of the chain, HDC into the 2nd ch from the hook, skip 1 ch then [SC, Ch2, SC] into the next.

Rep *skip 2 ch, [SC, Ch2, SC] in next* across.

End on skip 1, HDC in the last ch



Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. DC in same stitch.

Rep *3DC in ch2 spaces* across.

End on DC in last stitch.



Row 3: Ch1 and turn. HDC in same stitch

Skip 1 stitch, [SC, Ch2, SC] in next.

Rep *Skip 2 stitches, [SC, Ch2, SC] in next* across

End on Skip 1, HDC in last stitch.



Row 4 - onward: Rep Rows 2 & 3 for as long as you’d like your project to be.

As an optional extra, you can add fringing to your scarf - please see the video for full instruction on placement of fringing :-)



Tie off, and weave in any loose ends.
