Crochet Solid Triangle Granny Shawl [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]

Quick little video for you today on how to crochet a SOLID granny shawl - simple crochet shawls are one of my all time favourite items to make (and wear!) - this has been a long requested tutorial and makes for a great alternative for the traditional style granny shawl. Great for cover ups, layers and also VERY beginner friendly!

Crochet Solid Triangle Granny Shawl WRITTEN PATTERN

USA STITCH TERMS

You can use any yarn and hook you would like.

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn

Abbreviations:

Ch = Chain

DC = Double Crochet

St = Stitch

[ ] Place any stitches inside these brackets all in the same space/ stitch



Foundation: Magic Ring OR ch5, join with ss to make a circle.


Row 1: Ch2 (does NOT count as a stitch)

3DC, ch2, 3DC.

Turn.


Row 2: Ch2 (does NOT count as a stitch)

increase [2DC] into first stitch.

1DC in each double crochet from the row below until ch2 space from row below.

In Ch2 space put 2DC, Ch2, 2DC

Then working back down the side, 1DC in each DC from row below ending on increase [2DC] in very last stitch


Repeat Row 2 until the shawl is desired size.


Tie off, and weave in all loose ends.
